How to Become

I believe becoming the person you dream of is its own kind of art.
For a long time, we were taught to separate the muse from the artist — the dream from the one creating it. But maybe they were never meant to live apart. Maybe both can exist within the same vessel.
Our bodies should feel like temples: places of softness, peace, and quiet safety. But building such a place requires structure. Discipline. Intention. And somehow, that seems to contradict everything art is meant to be.
Because art is not supposed to be controlled.
Art is holding on and letting go at the same time.
It is freedom. Expression. Becoming.
So how do we become both?
How do we carry the careful mind of the artist while still allowing ourselves the freedom that art itself asks for?
If you are waiting for me to answer that perfectly, you may be disappointed.
This series is not a guide written by someone who has already arrived.
It is a record of becoming. A space where I try to understand myself a little more deeply, and perhaps help you understand yourself too.
How to become — whatever it is you feel you are meant to be.
Right now, this is what I believe:
I think the best version of ourselves already exists somewhere within us, hidden beneath layers of insecurity, limited understanding, fear, old wounds, and the weight of other people’s opinions. Maybe becoming is not about transforming into someone entirely new. Maybe it is about learning how to uncover the person who has been there all along.
And yes, that version of ourselves changes as we grow. What once felt whole may no longer fit us years later. But perhaps that is where the artist returns again — not to force meaning into existence, but to notice patterns, follow instincts, and learn how to look inward with honesty.
To know when it is time to visit the quiet temple of the mind.
To meet the new self waiting there.
To read the small hints it leaves behind.
To follow them gently.
And eventually, to let that self step into the world unafraid.
Remember this:
If the body is a temple, then the mind and soul are something even softer. Something sacred. Something divine.
They may change shape as we grow, but they remain ours.
So please — do not stop growing and do not be afraid to become.
